Stop Shadow IT with On-Demand Business Transformation

But shadow IT wouldn’t happen if internal IT adopted a cloud provider’s business model. In other words, if internal IT adopted the same cloud computing best practices there would be no incentive to go outside.
Cloud360 is delighted to share its latest newsletter, featuring Gartner research, Stop Shadow IT with On-demand Business Transformation. This newsletter provides you deep insights into how enterprises can adopt a hyperplatform, a single cloud-based infrastructure and management layer, for better control, smoother governance and agility of business

Mahesh has been with Cognizant for over 15 years and helped incubate the Manufacturing, Retail and Logistics practice. This practice was the first practice outside of the D&B connection (D&B was in the financial services information business and IMS health, a then D&B company was in the healthcare information business) that Cognizant decided to focus on in early 2000s. Mahesh built this practice from scratch and this practice grew to over a billion dollars in revenue.
Mahesh was also the person who incubated our Testing practice, SAP practice (a natural adjacency for the Manufacturing practice), Engineering and Manufacturing Solutions or EMS practice (another natural adjacency for Manufacturing but with very different skill sets). Mahesh had the Venture capital mindset of identifying and carve out testing as a separate business opportunity—Cognizant was the first to set up this practice as a separate verification and validation practice—culling it out of application development. Today, this Practice has grown to over 19,000 professionals widely acknowledged to be the largest globally.
This entrepreneurial zest, ability to spot newer opportunities, incubate them and commercialize them made Mahesh a natural choice for the newly formed Emerging Business Accelerator (EBA) unit. The EBA was established to identify new ideas and incubate sustainable business offerings for Cognizant's long term growth, differentiation, and scalability. Mahesh is responsible for incubating and delivering all businesses globally that includes Social, Mobile, Analytics and Cloud (also known as SMAC stack).
